Wednesday I learned about black entrepreneurs that are successful. Although it that is great, African Americans have a low percent of successful entrepreneurs. The video was very informative.
Presenting projects was fun today! I learned that it was a lot more black businesses that I didn’t know about. I feel like our people should support these businesses more so we can have more black owned successes.
Today we focused on comedians and how they can say things that regular people can’t say. We found a link on controversial things that Dave Chapelle has said.
Friday we researched 2 more sources for our prompt. One was a newspaper and the other was an image. I got done uploading my sources then I read some of “Wild”. By then it was about the end of class.
Wednesday we cited and written quotes from chapter 7 that related to the title of the chapter. The title was “The Only Girl in the Woods”. There were many quotes that related to that. I completed that and it was about time to go.
Today we researched credible sources to support the prompt. Everyone in my group started to research since we all had to get 10 sources each. I didn’t finish looking for all mines in class but I’m about to finish it at home.
Monday we came up with 5 different questions that our group could use for our prompt. Mr. Rease came around and checked each question to see any errors or things to fix. We ended up using question #4. We then started to brainstorm on things we could say to support our claim.
Today we answered some of our group’s discussion questions. We had a great discussion! Our questions were really good and our connections to our lives were vital additions to the discussion. Then we watched a video on what we read from “Wild” already.
Today we went over how to cite evidence/ research information we need for writing our prompt. We went on Google scholar and the media source website to help us gain credible sources for the information. Then we were pretty much done.
Today we got back into our groups and worked on our prompt some more. We also starting reading Wild from page 81 so we could come up with some discussion questions. Then it was time to go.
Yesterday we got into our groups and made our introduction for our prompt essay. We kinda cleaned ours up toward the end after Mr. Rease gave us advice. Once we corrected the mistakes it was time to go.
