Wednesday

 We we’re on lockdown.

Tuesday

 I was absent.

Monday reflection

Monday we came in and started talking about what about Hispanic heritage and Latino culture. We took notes on culture and ethics. Then we continued reading Fences and I love the book so far. Fences sounds so raw and real that I like it! It was good class period though.

Bell ringer

I really don’t know much about Latino culture but some of them speak Spanish. I would like to know about their culture and historical background and heritage.

My One Pager🥶

Friday Reflection

Today we had a small assignment to complete. The sub was pretty cool and funny. Her name was Ms. Bryant. I almost the assignment but I had to leave early for band. I also worked on Ms. Jackson’s work and we left. It was a relaxed class period!

Thursday Reflection

Today, Mr. Reese was not here. However, we still did what we were supposed to do and work on our one pager about “The Rockpile”. I thought we were going to have a small assignment but turns out the sub didn’t get give us one. I listened to music and did some other classes work as well as yours. It was a chill class.

Wednesday Reflection

Today we did a pop quiz on, “The Rockpile”. Even though I did great on it, it didn’t count as a quiz grade. That was pretty fun though. When we revealed the answer that was so fun because I love getting the right answer. This basically took up most of the class time. It was good day!

Tuesday Reflection

Today we came in class and did a bell ringer on making an alternate ending to “The Rock Pile”. Mines was pretty okay. Others like Deshawn’s and Adriel’s were great! We proceeded to talk about questions from the story and then worked on our one pager. Since people were asking about the due date, it is now due probably earlier than it was supposed to be but it’s okay, I guess. I am not the best drawer, so it will take me some time but hopefully I finish it tomorrow.

“The Rock Pile” -Alternate Ending

The Rock Pile Alternate Ending John looked at his step father’s shoe as Gabriel taps his shoe against the ground. Gabriella becomes even more furious. Elizabeth gets frazzled and tells the kids to go to their room. “Go up stairs now, you see grown folks talking.” “Yes ma’am”, said kids. “What is your problem? You are scaring the kids”, said Elizabeth. You know what, I’m done with everything. Take care and have a nice life, Elizabeth.” Gabriel slams the door so loud that he breaks the hinges.

Monday

Today we came in class and started on our bell ringer. I basically describes my neighborhood and submitted it. Then we read “The Rockpile” by James Baldwin. This was a good story to me because it was easy to understand and relatable. The part when Roy went downstairs and told his sibling not to say anything was very relatable. Overall, it was a good text and a great class day!

Bell Ringer

My neighborhood is a pretty regular neighborhood. It has plenty cars and trucks. Trees and nice grass for the most part. What makes this neighborhood unique is that I grew up there and it means a lot to me. An eyesore in the neighborhood are the thieves and robbers. They make the neighborhood kind of a bad hood. My parents allow me to hang out with my neighborhood friends.

Friday

 I was absent.

Thursday

Today, we had to finish the benchmark for your class. I didn’t get to finish #20 but I feel like I still did a decent job. I was so tired but I kept going. Right now all my teachers are posting grades and it seems like I have all A’s right now. It’s amazing because my Pre-Calculus is a 90 right now and I am so happy about that. I usually do pretty okay in Math but I surprised myself this time. Today was an overall good day. I look forward to Friday for the football game.

Wednesday

Wednesday we came in and started working on another test. This test was 20 questions. I was tired so I tried to hurry and get it done. I didn’t finish number 18 and 19 but I’ll get it done today.

Tuesday

Today, I turned in my Emily Dickinson quote explanations. Then I had to finish the Map quiz from Friday on Emily Dickinson. The rest of the class were doing a 3,2,1 on the movie they watched. It look like like an okay movie at glance. It was a pretty chill period though.

Friday

Today we had an assessment on Emily Dickinson’s poems. We answered questions on the different poems but I didn’t get a chance to finish because I had to leave for band.

Thursday

We were on lock down so we didn’t go to your class. The rest of my day was okay though. It was a lot of commotion with the fighting in our school. I was okay with being in lock down though. It gave me a chance to finish my Pre-calculus work.

Love

I actually forgot to blog on Tuesday but I remember what we did. We came in and talked about if we were ever in love before and if we were even heart broken. How did we get over the person? Personally, I was in love before and I got heart broken because we ended up breaking up. I had to get over it and it was so hard because my heart wouldn’t move on. That was one of the themes to the Emily Dickinson poem about when she was in love and how she couldn’t move on because her heart didn’t want to. Hearing the responses about how my classmates were heartbroken were so funny. Overall, it was a great day in class!
